July 4th Burger

I went by the [Comme Ca recipe on nytimes.com](http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/01/dining/012brex.html?_r=1) but the only thing worth paying attention to is step 2.

Essentially you start your burger off on the stove top in cast iron and sear the outside quickly, then finish it in the oven for a nearly perfect medium rare burger.
